Project 7: Pulp Friction
BAVARIAN CLASSIC WITH A SCOTTISH TWIST
Launch Date: 6th June 2025
Say hello to the third release in our 2025 Project 7 Series: Pulp Friction, a Pink Grapefruit Radler that’s equal parts crisp, juicy, and refreshing, perfect for post-ride pints or lazy summer days.
What’s in a Name?
A little wordplay, a lot of flavour. Pulp for the tart pink grapefruit at its core. Friction for every cyclist’s least favourite riding companion: a bit of saddle rub. The Radler style was originally born in the Bavarian beer halls, mixed up to quench the thirst of weary cyclists ("Radler" literally means “cyclist” in German). With this version, we’ve given the traditional style a modern, citrus-charged upgrade, minus the saddle soreness.
A Modern Take on a German Classic
At its heart, this is a proper Radler: half wheat beer, half soda. But not just any soda. We’ve teamed up with Scottish legends Bon Accord to add their cult-favourite Pink Grapefruit soda to the mix. The result is a super bright, super zesty low-ABV beer with layers of juicy grapefruit, mellow wheat sweetness and a crisp, smooth finish.
The wheat beer base brings soft, bready notes and body, while the soda lifts everything with tart citrus and a gentle sparkle. It’s ridiculously refreshing, whether you’ve actually been out riding trails or just kicking back in the garden.
Part of Our Project 7 Series
As ever with the Project 7 Series, Pulp Friction is a one-off small batch brew, designed to explore flavour, push styles, and do something a little different. Like the rest of the range, it won’t stick around for long, so grab it while you can.
